NUSENDA CREDIT UNION SUN BOWL PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT SEES WINNERS IN VARIOUS SKILL LEVELS WITH CASH PRIZES FOR PROFESSIONAL DIVISIONS

EL PASO, Texas – The Sun Bowl Association held the inaugural Nusenda Credit Union Sun Bowl Pickleball Tournament on March 20-22, 2026, at Eastwood High School and awarded $4,000 in cash prizes to professional divisions.

In its second year, the tournament attracted over 220 participants and featured 420 matches across men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and hybrid wheelchair divisions at various skill levels and age groups.

“We wish to expand to include a junior division. Our goal is to turn this into one of the biggest tournaments in the southwest,” stated Sun Bowl Association Executive Director Bernie Olivas. “We thank the Ysleta Independent School District and Eastwood High School for allowing us to use their facilities to host the tournament. Most importantly, we cannot thank Nusenda Credit Union enough for their title sponsorship.”
