Michael Guerra is Vice President of Guerra Investment Advisors, a registered investment advisory firm focusing on personalized portfolio and customized investment management for individuals, professional organizations, foundations, institutions, endowments and retirement plans.
Prior to this, Michael served as the Chief Lobbyist and Vice President of Government Relations and Armed Forces for the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce. In this role, he advocated for pro-El Paso public policy at the federal, state, county and city levels of government and was the staff lead to create the influential presentations that led to successful results of the expansion of Fort Bliss, Texas after the Base Realignment and Closure hearings. He was also instrumental in building several nationally-recognized workforce development programs in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, Johns Hopkins University, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Guerra’s extensive community involvement includes serving on the boards of the Hospitals of Providence East and the El Paso Chamber Foundation, and volunteering as the Cubmaster of his children’s Cub Scout pack. Previously, he was a founding director and former president of Progress321, and he served as president of the Amigo Airsho, chairman of Leadership El Paso, and board member of CASA of El Paso, FBI Citizens Academy, and Creative Kids
Guerra is a proud El Pasoan. He completed his MBA at the University of Texas at El Paso, after graduating from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s in business administration.
