NUSENDA CREDIT UNION SUN BOWL PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT SEES WINNERS IN VARIOUS SKILL LEVELS WITH CASH PRIZES FOR PROFESSIONAL DIVISIONS

**EL PASO, Texas **– The Sun Bowl Association held the inaugural Nusenda Credit Union Sun Bowl Pickleball Tournament on March 22-23, 2025, at Eastwood High School and awarded $2,400 in cash prizes to the top three finishers in each professional division.

In its first year, the tournament saw 184 registrants and 251 matches in men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles divisions in assorted skill levels and age groups. Players traveled from as far as Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Dallas, and Houston to participate in this brand-new community event.

“I hope we can turn this into one of the biggest pickleball tournaments in the southwest,” stated Sun Bowl Association Executive Director Bernie Olivas.
