Ryan Madrid, daughter of Marc and Edna Madrid, is a sophomore at The University of Notre Dame, where she is pursuing a degree in Global Affairs & American Studies (Pre-Law) with a minor in Musical Theatre. Ryan graduated from Eastwood High School, where she participated in the Varsity Cheer Team, Varsity Choir, and was the lead actor in the school’s theater program.
At Notre Dame, Ryan is an Executive Board Member of the Feminist Notre Dame Club and a member of the Notre Dame Pre-Law Club. Additionally, she is a lead actor with both the Pasquerilla East Musical Theatre Company and the Notre Dame Film, Television, and Theatre Department. Outside of school, Ryan is a legal assistant at the Law Office of Magda Yvonne Soto and an intern for the Honorable Judge Moique Velarde-Reyes. In her free time, she volunteers as a Catechist in the Confirmation program at her church, the Annunciation House, Villa Maria, and the local food bank.
As Sun Princess, Ryan hopes to represent El Paso and the Sun Bowl Association with grace for the teams, fans, and communities that visit the city. She intends to share El Paso with the rest of the country and show the city’s hospitality and friendliness.
