Lauren Trejo, daughter of Jesus and Lorena Trejo, is a senior at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she is pursuing a degree in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Legal Reasoning. She intends to attend law school after a gap year. Lauren graduated from Hanks High School, where she was a member of the school’s marching band.
At UTEP, Lauren is the Vice President of the Chicano(a) Pre-Law Society, a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and was one of four students at the university to be awarded the American Board of Trial Advocates Scholarship. Outside of campus, she volunteers for the Hanks High School marching band, the Humane Society, the Juvenile Center, and UTEP’s Flora Fest.
As Sun Princess, Lauren wants to represent El Paso in a positive light just as the women before her have. She is grateful to be an ambassador of El Paso with integrity, respect, and pride.
