Candace Quintana, daughter of Andy and Sarah Quintana, is a sophomore at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she is pursuing a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Candace graduated from Franklin High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Fusion Dance Company, and served as an Officer for the Silver Starz Drill Team.
At UTEP, she is an Undergraduate Assistant in the Dean’s Office at the College of Education at the university. She volunteers at the Church of St. Clements and teaches dance at Roots Dance Center.
As a little girl, Candace remembers seeing the Sun Princesses during the Sun Bowl Parade on Thanksgiving Day, knowing one day she wanted to be one of them. She hopes to serve as a role model and inspire a new generation of girls to do the same.
