Arihua Gonzalez, daughter of Nashelly Gonzalez, is a junior at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. Arihua graduated from Bel Air High School, where she served on the Student Council and participated in the National Honor Society. Additionally, she was a part of the school’s volleyball, track, and wrestling teams while participating in club volleyball.
At UTEP, Arihua is a member of the Catholic Campus Ministry and Delight Ministries. She has helped volunteer at school blood drives and the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.
As Sun Princess, Arihua hopes to show little girls from across El Paso that they can be a part of something greater. She appreciates the Sun Bowl’s display of community, belonging, and love we have for humanity in the city.
