Alaina Guerra, daughter of Miguel and Susan Guerra, is a Junior at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. Alaina graduated from Coronado High School, where she participated in cheerleading all four years. During her time on the cheer team, she received the All-Coronado Cheerleader Award, the Stellar Award, and the Stein Award.
At UTEP, Alaina was a member of the school’s cheer team during her freshman year. Additionally, she is involved with UTEP’s EP Thon organization, which raises funds and awareness for El Paso Children’s Hospital.
As Sun Princess, Alaina wants to give back to the city that has shaped her values, goals, and heart of service. She feels this will help her strive to serve as an ambassador for El Paso with honor and promote the traditions of the Sun Bowl.
