Lauryn Brown Sun Princess

Lauryn Brown, daughter of Jennifer and Jason Brown,
is the oldest of four, takes pride in her academic life
and strives to meet the goals that her family has
helped her prepare for.

As a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, Lauryn studies Human Development and Family Services with a minor in sociology as a student on the Pre-PA track. Having graduated from Bel Air High School, Lauryn is the recipient of the Ysleta Education Foundation Academic Scholarship, and the Marathon Petroleum Scholars Program, and is a Hispanic Scholarship Scholar. Lauryn expands her leadership abilities and is building her repertoire by participating in the Dell Medical Summer Chemistry Program, Texas Alpha Phi Omega, the Texas Interdisciplinary Plan Scholar as a mentor, and the Texas Pre-PA Society as a Co-President.

Lauryn’s love for the borderland sometimes makes it hard to be so far from home, but her deep-rooted pride and family support help her stay focused and keep moving forward.
